ACS Technical working groups

To pursue its objectives, ACS organizes technical working groups, which cover shipping quality, maritime safety and marine environment, in particular, in relation to the work of the IMO MSC (Maritime Safety Committee) and MEPC(Maritime Environment Protection Committee).

The TMG(Technical management group) drafts and implements technical work plans of the whole technical work, and monitors the working group’s work to ensure that their work fit their intended purposes, i.e. to promote ship safety at sea and protection of the marine environment and to pursue improvement of ACS Members' performance and their technical contributions to the international maritime community.

Currently,WG on Quality has been established under the Executive Committee and the WG on Safety and the WG on Environment have been established under the Technical Management Group, and to carry out ad-hoc technical work, a project team on the ballast water management has been established under WG on Environment.
